LASAGNA
Ingredients:
1/4 lb. Italian sausage
3/4 to 1 lb. hamburger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 TBLsp. basil
1 1/2 tsps. salt
1 lb. can tomatoes, cut-up
12 oz. can tomato paste
12 strips lasagna noodles
3 cups ricotta cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 TBLsps. parsley flakes
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsps. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 lb. mozzarella cheese, gratedBrown sausage and hamburger. Spoon off excess fat and add garlic, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook lasagna noodles in salted boiling water until tender. In medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, salt and pepper. Grease 13" X 9" baking dish with vegetable oil. Place ingredients in pan in the following order: 1/3 meat, 3 noodles, 1/4 cheese mixture, 3 noodles, 1/4 cheese mixture, 1/3 meat, 1/2 mozarella cheese, 3 noodles, 1/4 cheese mixture, 1/3 meat, 1/2 mozzarella cheese, 3 noodles, 1/4 cheese mixture, 3 noodles, 1/4 cheese mixture, 1/2 mozzarella cheese, 1/3 meat. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
