LASAGNE CASSEROLE


Ingredients:
2 TBLsps. salad oil
1 lb. hamburger
2 cloves garlic
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 No. 2 can tomatoes
8 oz. broad (1-1/2") spedial lasagne noodles
1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
3/4 lb. Ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano

Heat in skillet salad oil, add hamburger crumbled, and crushed garlic--brown. Add can tomato sauce, can tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until it's slightly thickened. Meanwhile, cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender (15 minutes). Drain and rinse. Fill rectangular casserole (oval will do) with alternate layers cheese, ricotta cheese, tomato, meat, sauce, grated parmesan. Bake in moderately hot oven, 375 degrees, for 15 to 20 minutes.
